Moving into this year's Holiday Season, in response to the growing message of "excessive consumerism" (an issue specifically raised by the OCCUPY Movement), in what the Congress believed to be a magnanimous gesture they voted to reduce the lighting on the outdoor White House Christmas Tree by three bulbs and donate them to the starving children refugees in the Sudan.
